Gillingham star player Bradley Dack is set to miss six weeks through injury

Gillingham must face the next six weeks without Bradley Dack.

A hamstring injury will keep him out until the middle of next month after scans in the early part of the week gave Gills news they didn’t want to hear.

The League 1 promotion chasers have only just got used to being without key defender John Egan, who is also out until mid-April, after picking up a knock in training.

With the Gills still without skipper Doug Loft and long-term absentee Cody McDonald, it was more tough news for boss Justin Edinburgh.

He said: “It is a grade two strain so we are probably looking at six weeks, which is another big blow.

“They are all challenges and questions to be answered. We have been good with injuries and a lot of them have hurt us of late but we have to overcome them.

“We have had a bad run of form and a bad spate of injuries but it will only make us
stronger.”

Edinburgh’s men head to Scunthorpe this weekend with defeats from their last three games.
