Bristol City caretaker boss John Pemberton is quizzed about Gillingham's Bradley Dack

Bristol City are playing it cool over Bradley Dack.

Three offers from City have been refused by the Gills and the Championship side added QPR’s attacking midfielder Ben Gladwin to their squad on Tuesday.

City’s interim boss John Pemberton was quizzed over their interest in Gillingham star Dack after their home defeat to West Brom in the FA Cup.

"Bradley Dack is a player I like,” said Pemberton, who has been put in temporary charge of the side following Steve Cotterill’s dismissal.

Pemberton had previously been assistant boss at the club last season where he got to see plenty of the Gills and Dack in action.

The caretaker boss added: “He is a player who has an excellent future.

“We played Gillingham a lot last season and I like him."

The Gills have already turned down three bids from City for their 13-goal midfielder.

Boss Justin Edinburgh is keen to keep hold of the player as they push for League 1 glory.

Dack will be key to that.

Edinburgh, speaking on Tuesday, said: “The chairman has indicated his stance on it that he doesn’t want him to leave.

"I spoke to Bradley as well and feel he is more than happy to continue what he is doing here right now. We will just continue as normal.”
