Ryman League Chatham have appointed Kevin Horlock as their new manager.
Horlock takes over from Kevin Watson, who stepped down as boss a fortnight ago following a poor run of league results.
As well as picking up 32 caps for Northern Ireland, Horlock had a successful playing career with Manchester City, West Ham, Swindon and Ipswich.
After ending his professional career, Horlock went on to be player/coach and then assistant manager at Needham Market, where he also set up and ran their Academy for five years.
Chatham director of football Steve Binks said: "Kevin has now moved back to his roots in Kent and everyone at Chatham Town would like to wish him a very warm welcome and also a very successful career at Chatham."
Horlock's first task as manager will be to stop a run of nine league games without a win. He takes over with Chatham five points outside the relegation zone in Ryman League Division 1 South having taken just 12 points from 13 games.
