A woman was cut out of her car after a crash involving another car in Lordswood yesterday (Sunday).

Albemarle Road was closed for around an hour after a collision involving a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Mondeo.

It happened just before noon, after heavy snow had been falling in Medway for most of the morning.

The woman was complaining of back and neck injuries so firefighters cut the roof off her vehicle to get her out safely.

The 47-year-old was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

It is not thought anyone else was hurt.
