The house was engulfed in flames after the fire broke out on the ground floor.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said a woman had been led from the property before they arrived, and everybody was safely accounted for.

Crews in breathing apparatus carried out a full search and put out the blaze using a main jet supplied by a hydrant, as well as a hose reel jet.

They then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the building and left just before 1pm.
