Woman in court after stabbing in Gordon Road, Chatham

A 33-year-old woman is due in court today following a stabbing.

The alleged attack happened at a property in Gordon Road, Chatham, at around 10.40pm on Monday.

Police attended and a man was taken to hospital.

Officers arrested a woman, who was known to the victim, and she was taken into police custody while inquiries continued.

The man’s injuries were not reported to be life threatening or life changing.

Amelia Long, 33, of Gordon Road, Chatham, was later charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and is due to appear before Medway magistrates this morning.

She was remanded in custody and her case will be heard at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, December 4.
