Delays as woman hit by car on A228 Sundridge Hill, Cuxton

A woman has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.

The accident happened on the A228 Sundridge Hill in Cuxton at about 4pm.

The road is blocked in both directions from Roman Way to the M2 turn off for Strood.

Kent Police spokesman Jo Pattison said: "Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are in attendance and the road is currently closed in both directions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and find alternative routes if possible."
