Van driver assaulted on Symons Avenue, Chatham

A van driver was attacked by a group of men.

Police received reports of an assault in Chatham between 2.50pm and 3.30pm yesterday.

The man was attacked by a group of men when he stopped his vehicle at the junction with Haig Avenue.

The victim suffered facial injuries and initial inquiries are under way into the circumstances.
