Universities and colleges from across the UK will be talking to higher education hopefuls at an event this week.

Those thinking of applying to university can have their questions about campus life answered at the University of Greenwich’s UCAS higher education exhibitions at the Medway campus today and tomorrow.

Dozens of universities and colleges will be available to speak to anyone thinking about taking their all-important first step into the world of higher education.

The events are also an opportunity to ask advisers from UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) any questions about how to make applications.

The University of Greenwich will be running tours throughout the events, as well as staging seminars in partnership with UCAS on subjects including managing finances, taking gap years and entering teaching.

Robert Mayor, director of communications and Recruitment for the University of Greenwich, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for students to gather the type of crucial information that could shape their futures.

"My advice is to ask all sorts of questions, not only about courses but about living at a campus, transport links, employability and studying abroad, for instance.

“Explore all the options: some might find an even better course than those they've already considered. Above all, I hope everyone enjoys the UCAS events and gets the very best out of them.”

Michael Smith, UCAS interim head of events, added: “UCAS exhibitions are a great way to find out about life after exams – whether that means university, volunteer work, a gap year or career opportunities. We really encourage people to come along and see what their future could look like.”

The events run from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day.
