The leisure park includes chains such as Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito, McDonalds, and Cineworld, which has recently filed for bankruptcy.

The caravans were spotted this morning in some of the parking bays and have not moved since.

One shop owner said they were concerned that their presence will affect business.

Police and Medway Council have both been contacted for comment.

A court order was granted on Wednesday to evict travellers from a council-owned play park in Gravesend.

The group had arrived at Hever Farm Recreation Area in Singlewell, at about 9pm on Monday.
