Traffic was held while emergency services attend and the traffic was queuing back to J3.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 5.30pm on Thursday, June 8, following a collision involving four vehicles on the M2 coastbound near the Medway services.

“Officers attended to assist South East Coast Ambulance Service and National Highways at the scene. An air ambulance also attended.

“No serious injuries were reported.”

A traffic report said the road had been closed and there was “trapped traffic within the closure”.

The sliproad at junction 4 was also shut.

The road and sliproad re-opened at around 8pm.
