Work at a supermarket will see it close three hours earlier most days of the week until the end of November.

Tesco in Cuxton Road, Strood, is to undergo a major revamp.

It means the store, usually open from 6am until midnight, will now close its doors at 9pm from Monday to Thursday.

The branch will maintain its normal opening hours of 6am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10am until 4pm on Sundays.

The new opening hours will come into effect from today (September 4).

They will remain in place until November 20 when the refurbishment is due to be complete.
