Two teenagers were treated for head injuries at Medway Maritime Hospital after being reportedly set upon and robbed by a gang of five men.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack at the Great Lines in Gillingham early on Sunday.

The victims were taken to hospital with head injuries after the alleged assault by the men at about 1.10am. They have since been discharged.

They said they met the group of men at Rainham railway station where they decided to go to the Casino Rooms nightclub in Rochester.

The train stopped at Gillingham and the group got off and apparently led the two teenagers to the Great Lines.

When they got to the Lines, one of the suspects hit one on the head and in the back. He fell on the floor but then got up and struck the offender back before being hit in the face by another member of the group.

He then reported that he was repeatedly kicked in the face and his phone and wallet were stolen.

The other teenager was being assaulted by the other men in the group and he also had his mobile phone and wallet stolen.

Police say one of the offenders is a man with dark skin, aged 19-20, with short black hair and was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black jacket.
The second suspect is described as white, 18 years old, about 5ft 5in and of stocky build. He has short dark brown hair and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms with either a navy or dark black jacket.
The third was a white man about 6ft 1in with short dark brown hair, heavy build and wearing a hooded top and a baseball cap.
The fourth suspect was a white man between 20 and 30 years old, 5ft 11in and wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark coloured tracksuit top.

The final offender was between 20 and 30 years old and was described as being about 5ft 11in.
