Teenager seriously injured after collision between bike and car in Rainham

A teenager has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a motorbike collided with a car in Rainham last night.

Police say a black Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision with red Yamaha motorbike in Rainham High Street at about 7.15pm.

The crash happened next to the car park opposite the junction with Chapel Row, near the Asda petrol station.

Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a 17-year-old boy, was flown to a London hospital with serious injuries.

Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is investigating and urges anyone who witnessed the crash or has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
