Video of girls fighting in Strood key cutting shop uploaded to Snapchat

Footage showing the horrific moment a teenage girl is attacked by a group of girls in a town centre shop has emerged online.

The frenzy at a keycutting shop in Strood yesterday was uploaded to video sharing site Snapchat.

Police are now investigating after two people - one of whom is believed to be aged 13 - were injured and had to be carried out of the shop.

The clip, which has emerged online, shows a girl being set upon by three others before being dragged to the ground as punches and stamps rain down on her.

It is understood the victim suffered injuries to her head and face and had breathing difficulties after the savage attack at about 5.20pm.

A man steps in to try to break up the fight after the initial fracas and pulls one of the attackers off the victim on the shop floor.

A police spokesman confirmed the incident, which took place in the High Street, is under investigation with "all lines of inquiry being explored".

According to reports, the victim's auntie claims her neice was knocked unconscious as punches land on her head.

She added the family has been "left heartbroken" describing their disbelief after the video was shared to Snapchat "as some sort of trophy".
