Richard Cross took six wickets as Lordswood continued their impressive summer in Shepherd Neame Kent League Division 1 on Saturday.

Leaders Lordswood remain on course for an instant return to the Premier Division after a 42-run win over lowly Canterbury.

David Masters hit 57, Lyndon Lockhart scored 52 and Matt Iles made 46 as Lordswood reached 236-7 from 50 overs.

Canterbury reached 86 without loss in reply before Cross accounted for both openers and Masters picked up a couple of wickets to leave the visitors on 109-4.

Cross then gained three further wickets in the middle order before completing his haul of 6-36 from 15 overs by dismissing Damian Minter without score. Masters took the last wicket to fall to end with 3-60 from 10 overs.
