Relaxed Invicta Dynamos players hitting top form

Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish believes a more relaxed atmosphere at the club is bringing results.

The Mos have turned their form around, after a stuttering start, with five wins on the bounce and Parrish labelled their 11-0 Southern Cup mauling of Bracknell Hornets on Saturday as their best performance of the season.

They followed that up with a NIHL South Division 1 win over Wightlink Raiders at the Silverblades on Sunday.

Parrish (pictured) said: "We’ve not done anything majorly different but we’ve maybe just relaxed more. I want the players to be playing with a smile on their faces and that’s the best way to do it. We want to be enjoying this."

Saturday’s Southern Cup victory leaves Dynamos top of the group table, with three wins from three, and an impressive 28 goals to their name.

Parrish said: "The players could relax on the bench and have a bit of a joke. There was banter flying around and the team were outstanding. It was the best we’ve played so far and Bracknell just didn’t look like they wanted to be there."

The win leaves Invicta nine points off the top but with four games in hand over leaders Chelmsford.

Focus returns to the Southern Cup on Sunday, when lower league Peterborough Islanders head to Medway (5.15pm).
