Police tape off grass verge near Bryant Medical Centre, Chatham following reports woman was raped

Police are investigating an alleged rape near a GP surgery.

A grassed area was cordoned off this morning opposite the Bryant Medical Centre in Chatham.

Officers were called at 4am to a report a woman had been raped between Bryant Street and New Road.

A grass verge leading to the Upper Mount car park opposite the Seventh Day Adventist Church was also taped off this morning.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
