Police release suspect in Chatham murder hunt

A woman has become the third person to be quizzed by detectives in connection with a Chatham murder.

Officers from Kent Police's Major Crime Unit are questioning the 39-year-old from Chatham. It's in connection to the discovery of the body of a man in his 60s at a flat at Copperfield House, New Road, Chatham.

A second man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail.

The 43-year-old from Chatham was questioned by police for almost four days in connection with the murder of Antoine Denis, 66, who died of a single stab wound.

The man has been released on bail until February 18. A 69-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, was previously bailed until January 28.

Mr Denis was found dead in his flat in Copperfield House, New Road, on Saturday, January 9.

Police have revealed the last known sighting of Mr Denis was on December 27 and are urging anyone who saw him after that date to get in touch.
