Police officers raided a drug dealer's home just before Christmas.

George Dempsey was arrested during the morning of December 23 following a search warrant at his address in Wilson Avenue, Rochester.

The 23-year-old was later charged with two counts of possessing Class A drugs – heroin and crack cocaine – with intent to supply and with possessing criminal property, namely £20,000 in seized cash.

Dempsey appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on December 24 and pleaded guilty.

He was remanded in custody until a sentencing hearing at Maidstone Crown Court, on a date yet to be decided.
