Police confirmed two suspected motorbiker thieves have been arrested and a stolen bike recovered following a pursuit.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Shortly after 2.15am this morning a motorbike, which had previously been reported stolen from an address in Rochester, was seen by officers on patrol in Chatham.

“The motorbike failed to stop for officers when requested and, following a pursuit which was assisted by a police helicopter, two 20-year-old men were arrested in John Street, Rochester on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.”

The vehicle has been recovered and the two men remain in custody while enquiries into the incident continue.
