Police seen entering property in Cliffe Road, Strood

Police forensics have been seen entering a property on a residential street.

Officers have been at the scene in Cliffe Road, Strood, throughout the day after being called at 3.10am.

An eyewitness told KentOnline that patrols “dismantled something inside the house and put it out in the road”.

He explained: “Police could be seen going in and out of a home this afternoon.

“There were lots of aluminium-looking funnels and other silver items dumped outside.”

A police spokesman said: “A number of cannabis plants have been seized. There have been no arrests at this stage and inquiries are under way to identify the person responsible for the property.”
