Rochester rape: Police are looking for witnesses

A woman has reported being grabbed by a hooded stranger, dragged away and raped.

Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses following the alleged attack in the early hours of Monday in Maidstone Road, Rochester.

A woman in her 30s was walking along the road when a man is said to have grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the road before launching his attack.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 8ins and of slim build.

He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood pulled up, which was tied with a drawstring. He was also wearing dark trousers and dark trainers.

The victim was able to run away from the suspect after the incident.

Detectives want to hear from anyone in the between 1am and 4am and ask anyone with information to call them on 01634 792209 quoting XY/043841/17.
