The partner of a man who was murdered after a drugs row has slammed his "emotionless" killer.

Anthony Eastwood was left for dead after being stabbed five times by London teenager Nathan Kitenge-Mpiana in December last year.

Mr Eastwood's partner, Stephanie Hall, from Maidstone, slammed the 18-year-old for his emotionless reaction.

She said: "He showed no emotion, care or even a tear for Tony.

"He might not get out for years, but he can come out eventually and meet somebody and fall in love, touch his mum again, go to church and do whatever, but what can I do?

"The man can't even look me in the eyes and say that he's sorry."

Kitenge-Mpiana, who was 17 at the time of the attack in Fox Street, Gillingham , was sentenced to life imprisonment earlier today.

The killer will now serve a minimum term of 14 years and 141 days before he can be considered for parole.

Speaking after the emotional sentencing, Mr Eastwood's partner described the pain of losing the love of her life.

She said: "He went out that day and I was waiting for him to come home and I had a hospital appointment but he didn't come back.

"He was my everything, he was my best friend, I cannot explain the connection we had.

"I just miss him and am always expecting him to come back through the door."

She added that years ago her partner "wasn't an angel" but had changed his ways.

"I know he's not going to come walking back in. I never realised you could be 30-years-old and swept off your feet and actually realise what love is, and now he's gone and I just want him back."

Student Kitenge-Mpiana was found guilty of murder in July in an event described to a jury as "akin to an assassination".

During the trial at Maidstone Crown Court, the jury heard how Kitenge-Mpiana was a county lines dealer who stabbed the 35-year-old victim five times after stalking him to near The Monarch pub in Fox Street.

Kitenge-Mpiana - who was arrested at the Channel Tunnel terminal in Coquelles, France, in January this year - claimed he had been impersonated by another gang member who had taken his clothes.

But the jury rejected his account and ruled he had gone searching for Mr Eastwood over a "possible drug grudge" and spotted him near Burger King - an incident which was caught on CCTV.
