Police call off enquiries into alleged rape in Chatham

Police are no longer appealing for witnesses following reports of an alleged rape in Chatham.

An incident was initially reported to have happened in an alleyway off Henry Street, close to the junction with Russell Court, at 1pm on Monday 12 September 2016; but further enquiries have established no offences took place.

The case will now be filed and no further action will be taken against any party concerned with the report.
