No arrests after bin men filmed fighting in Chatham

Police are continuing to investigate after two bin men were filmed brawling in high-vis clothing with members of the public in Chatham.

Employers Medway Norse sacked two men after footage emerged of a fight in Chatham High Street on Monday, July 5, and said they were helping police.

But police say they have made no arrests and there is no update to the incident.

Officers attended at the time but said the offenders had left the area and no suspects were identified.

Footage of the brawl posted online by Alicia Martin showed one worker being knocked to the floor, apparently unconscious, at the junction of the High Street and Military Road.

Another video showed a man in high-vis clothing waving chairs around and shouting aggressively.

She later described how it had been a frightening experience, adding: "It was strange. I thought you don't normally go this mental in your uniform."
