The partner of a man who died after suffering five stab wounds has spoken of her grief nearly three months on.
Anthony Eastwood died in Fox Street, Gillingham, on Friday, December 20.
His partner, mother-of-three Stephanie Hall, had been living with Anthony in Week Street, Maidstone, prior to his death.
Anthony, who was originally from Chatham, had been with Stephanie for almost eight years and the pair were looking to marry in the New Year.
The 40-year-old, who comes from Gillingham, said: "He turned his life around. He was a good step-dad; he had money in his pocket and he was a good person.
"I am disabled, I can't stand up on my own. He cooked for me, helped me out of the shower, made me cups of tea.
"If my children needed anything, he would get it for them.
"He just wanted to look forward to the future. My heart is broken."
The afternoon Anthony died, Stephanie, who has paralysis in one foot, was at home waiting for him to return to take her to a hospital appointment. She did not receive the devastating news about his death until 10pm.
While Stephanie acknowledges Anthony had run-ins with the law, and had spent time in prison, she says there was more to him.
The couple were planning on spending Christmas together – which would have been Anthony's first out of prison in 19 years – with Stephanie's mother and her children.
She added: "He brought the whole family together. My mum had invited us to stay round for Christmas.
"People had their views on Tony, but they didn't see the person that I knew.
"We said to each other if anything happened to us, the other wouldn't be too far behind because we did love each other.
"He was a grateful, humble man."
A 17-year-old from Barking, Essex, is due to go on trial, charged with murder and having a knife in public, at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, June 8.
He denies the charges and the trial is likely to last three weeks.
It is alleged the boy is a county lines dealer who stabbed 35-year-old Anthony five times following an argument near The Monarch pub in Fox Street on the afternoon of Friday, December 20.
Anthony's sister previously spoke KentOnline, calling for justice for her brother.
