A moped rider was taken to hospital after a crash in The Brook, Chatham, this morning.

Police were called just after 9.20am on to a report of a collision involving a car and a moped.

Officers attended along with ambulance crews and the rider was taken to hospital with injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

The Highways Authority has been made aware due to fuel on the road. Traffic is heavier in the area due to the incident.

Police say the rider was male but were unable to confirm his age.
