Man walks away from overturned car

A man whose car overturned on the A289 this morning has walked away from the crash with only minor injuries.

Witnesses watched as a man got out of the white Fiat, which ended up on its side on the bank on Rochester Road, close to the B2000 junction.

Police received a call about the single-vehicle crash at about 8am and firefighters from Strood and Medway stations were called to the scene at 8.08am.

One witness who saw the accident said the man looked to be in his 40s.

Kent Police said the man suffered minor injuries. The cause of the accident is unknown.
