Man robbed of phone and wallet in Gillingham street

A man was robbed of his wallet and mobile phone in a lunchtime attack while walking down a street in Gillingham.

The 22-year-old was walking along Garfield Road when he was approached by two men wearing dark hooded tops with their faces covered, who demanded he hand over the items.

Police have just released details of the the incident happened at about 12.40pm last Friday at the junction with Hamilton Road.

The victim, from Gillingham, handed over his mobile and wallet and the robbers walked off in the direction of Baden Road.

Police investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses, if you saw anything call 01634 792475.
