Man cut from overturned car in Ash Tree Lane, Chatham

A man was cut free from a car which flipped onto its roof yesterday morning.

Three engines were called to Ash Tree Lane in Chatham at around 9.10am on Monday, following a single-vehicle crash.

On arrival, a car was found on its roof with a male driver trapped inside.

Crews used hydraulic rescue gear and the "jaws of life" to free the driver who was stuck inside.

He was then passed into the care of paramedics.

The emergency services left the scene just over two hours later at 11.12am.
