Driver, Tiamur Khan, 22, of Plaistow, charged with driving offences in Rochester

A man has been charged with dangerous driving after being pulled over in Rochester.

Officers from the Medway community policing team tried to stop the vehicle in James Street, at about 11.30am on Monday.

Police say the vehicle failed to stop and officers pursued it to Kings Avenue, off Rochester Maidstone Road.

The driver is then said to have got out of the car and left the scene.

Tiamur Khan, 22, of Crofton Road, Plaistow, was arrested a short time later and has now been charged with dangerous driving and one count of failing to stop.

He has been bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on, Wednesday, October 11.
