Chatham man charged after robbery at City Slots in town centre

A man has been charged with robbery after an arcade was targeted in the town centre.

Officers were called to City Slots, High Street, Chatham, at around 4pm on Sunday after staff were allegedly threatened before cash was stolen.

Neil Sutton, of Shipwrights Avenue, in the same town, was arrested and later charged.

The 39-year-old was remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court today.

He was further remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, March 3.

Following the incident the manager at City Slots said she "saw it happen on CCTV" before ringing the police.
