A man has been charged with robbery after a shop reported being targeted by thieves two days in a row.
Yesterday morning (October 30), a shop in Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, was visited by a man who proceeded to steal bottles of spirits from behind the counter while making threats to staff.
Police were called to the scene and arrested a man after a search of the area.
Dominic Lycett, of Chelmar Road, Chatham, was later charged with robbery.
The 34-year-old was also charged with two further counts of robbery at the same shop on Sunday (October 29).
During these incidents, staff members were reportedly threatened by a man stealing laundry products and confectionery.
Lycett was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (October 31).
