Strood firefighters were called out to the A2 earlier today after a lorry carrying a load of Stella beer crashed into a barrier on the London-bound carriageway.
A crew was called out to the crash site close to the Tollgate turn-off at about 5.40am where they were joined by crews from Dartford and Thamesside.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The driver had to be taken to hospital with suspected back and neck injuries and we had to make sure the scene was safe as there was quite a bit of diesel on the road.
“We were on the scene for about an hour.”
