Suspected drug dealer appears at Medway Magistrates’ Court after police seize knife, cash, mobile phone and cocaine in Gillingham

A knife, drugs, cash and a mobile phone were seized by police after they stopped a man in an alleyway.

Officers from Medway’s Community Safety Unit spotted the suspect acting suspiciously near Woodlands Road, Gillingham on Wednesday (December 6).

His behaviour led them to believe he could be involved in the supply of drugs and he was searched.

Officers found cash, deals of suspected cocaine, a mobile phone and a lock-knife.

Daniel Ayomidele, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Ayomidele was also charged with possessing a knife in a public place.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (December 7), where he was remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on January 4.
