Be Yourself - that's Tony Blackburn's advice to Medway panto star Joe Swash as he tries to survive life in the jungle for this year's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

The kmfm presenter knows what he's talking about - he was crowned King of the Jungle when he won the debut series of the ITV1 reality show back in 2002.

He said: "You need to be yourself and try not to get in to any arguments with people. Most of all you need to enjoy the experience because it is very enjoyable.

"It's a terrific programme to do but you have to be careful. Not everybody comes out in a positive way and one or two people have ruined their careers doing it so it is a gamble."

Joe Swash, best known as EastEnders' loveable Mickey Miller, is set to step on to Chatham's Central Theatre stage in Cinderella as Buttons this Christmas

Viewers may even see Joe learning his lines for the panto while on the TV show, which started on Sunday.

The other contestants include footballer Joe Cole's fiancée Carly Zucker, TV presenter Esther Rantzen, US actor George Takei, Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova, Page 3 girl Nicola McLean and former chat show host Robert Kilroy-Silk
