A teenage killer – freed early from a sentence for knifing a drugs rival – was back dealing in drugs in Gillingham three months later.

Younis Farjani, 18, was convicted in 2016 of killing a man in Kilburn over a £2,000 drugs debt.

He was given a seven year youth detention sentence but realised in June last year for the manslaughter of Haile Langa, 21.

Now Maidstone Crown Court heard how Farjani and his older brother Imaan, 23 – who was acquitted of murder in the same trial – were dealing in Kent.

Prosecutor Alex Matthews said they were part of a county lines drugs gang operating in Kent from London.

She said that Younis was banned from London by probation on his release and he and Imaan were spotted in a vehicle in Pagitt Street, Gravesend.

The brothers, who now live in Rushdean Road, Strood, pleaded guilty to possessing Class A drugs intending to supply them and having nearly £2,000 in cash in a safe and in the car, which were the proceeds of crime.

Feryal Ertan, defending, said Imaan is to become a father for the first time in July.

Younis was recalled to prison after his arrest and was "expecting a jail sentence".

Judge Martin Huseyin told him that he was given a chance when he was released to turn around his life.

"Sadly you chose not to and went back to drug dealing," the judge said.

Younis was given a 39 month jail term and Imaan was jailed for 42 months.

The judge told Imaan: "You were the older brother you should have helped rehabilitate him but you chose to join in with the drugs venture."

Mr Langa was found stabbed in Watling Gardens in Shoot-Up Hill in Brent in November 2015. He died despite the efforts of paramedics at the scene.

He had earlier sent messages to a girlfriend saying he was going to get rich or die trying.

Younis was convicted of manslaughter at the trial at the Old Bailey and Imaan was cleared of murder. Both brothers lived in Willesden at the time.
