Kaya Meze Bar in Rochester and Master Kebabs in Gillingham recognised at British Kebab Awards

Two takeaways in the Towns have been recognised and took home a prestigious award at the British Kebab Awards.

Kaya Meze Bar in Rochester High Street scooped the "Best Newcomer Restaurant outside of London" award.

While the team from Master Kebab in Watling Street, Gillingham, were recognised for their food.

Chatham councillor and Labour leader Vince Maple congratulated Onur, Ayse and Beyza Nur, from Master Kebab, for their recognition.

While Rochester MP Kelly Tolhurst praised the Kaya Meze Bar for their achievement.

She said: "It's great to see a local business recognised at these awards."
