James leaves Priestfield

KEVIN JAMES has left Gillingham by mutual consent after failing to negotiate a new deal.

The former Charlton winger was offered a new deal by the club but failed to sign and has left now and before his contract runs out in the summer.

James joined the club in the summer of 2000 on a free transfer and made his full debut in the March 2001 in the 3-3 draw with Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.

QPR have been rumoured to be interested in the 24-year-old.
