Invicta Dynamos steam-rollered their way into the semi-finals of the ENIHL Division 1 South play-offs with a 24-13 aggregate victory over the Cardiff Devils at the weekend.

After building a 7-4 lead in Saturday's first leg in Wales Dynamos demolished the Devils 17-9 in Gillingham 24 hours later to set up a last-four clash with league winners the Romford Raiders.

The key moment over the two legs came in Sunday's second period when Dynamos went into overdrive, scoring 10 times to virtually secure their place in the next round.

Four-goal Callum Fowler led the way with Dynamos' other goals coming from Harrison Lillis (3), Andy Smith (2), Nicky Lewis (2), Justin Noble (2), Ryan Ellis (2) Callum Best and Tim Smith.

Fowler also scored a hat-trick on Saturday as the Dynamos overcame the loss of netminder Andy Moffat beforehand through illness. Joe White was called up in Moffat's place and played his part as Kevin Parrish's side took control of the first leg by scoring three goals without reply in the first period through Noble (2) and Andy Smith.

Andy Smith and Fowler also scored in the second period, which ended with Dynamos 5-3 in front, and then Fowler scored twice more in the final period to complete his hat-trick and ensure that Invicta travelled home with a three-goal cushion for the second leg.

The first leg of the semi-final with Romford will be at the Silver Blades Ice Rink on Saturday (5.15pm).
