Invicta Dynamos suffered a 5-4 defeat to Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday to slip to fifth in ENIHL South Division 1.
The Dynamos were up against it after conceding inside 21 seconds to an Alan Green effort, but pulled level just before the break when Justin Noble struck high into the net.
With just seven minutes to go of the second frame, Grant Baxter put the Dynamos ahead and Andy Smith (right) made it 3-2 after Chelmsford’s player/coach Gary Clarke had pulled his side level.
Michael Ranby then equalised from a powerplay before Danny Hammond put the Chieftains in the lead. Peter Beerling looked to have rescued a point for the Mos when he smashed home from the blue line, but it was Chelmsford that claimed the points when Czech forward Jakub Klima scored five minutes from time.
