Invicta Dynamos have axed Canadian forward just four months into his contract, claiming he is a disruptive influence in the dressing room and doesn't have the necessary team-ethic to remain with the club.

The Toronto-born 24-year-old (pictured) arrived at Silver Blades in July following a spell at the West Michigan Blizzard of the All American Hockey League.

He found the net 22 times in 17 appearances and added 16 assists before head coach Kevin Parrish terminated his contract.

Parrish said: “Daniel’s time with the Dynamos has come to an end and he will not feature for us again this season. In recent weeks his presence in the dressing room was proving to be a disruption and, as the coach, this is not something I could allow.

"All of the players, whether they have been here for four years or four months, must be considered equal but Daniel did not share this value."

Parrish added: "We will be looking at a replacement for Daniel and I’ll be ringing around a few agents in the coming days, but this is not a decision I want to rush."

He however added: “We have already lined up a British forward to add to our attack and we are looking to have the deal concluded by the end of the week."

Mos have promoted Daniel Fudger from the Invicta Mustangs for the remainder of the campaign, Parrish adding: "Over recent weeks Dan has shown me more than enough to suggest he can do a good job in Division 1.

"It’s no secret that we have had our ups and downs in the past but he has really knuckled down in training since the start of the season and I can see him playing an important role."
