Invicta Dynamos maintained their perfect NIHL Cup Division South A record on Sunday but coach Kevin Parrish would like to see his side transfer that form to their league programme.

The Mos made it five wins from five cup games following their 8-3 success at Bracknell and can take another big step towards qualifying for the South area play-off when they travel to meet bottom-of-the-table Peterborough on Saturday night.

Parrish (pictured) said: "It would be nice to get through to the final because we haven’t been in one for a few years.

"It was a comfortable win at Bracknell. They rested a few players because they are out of it and we didn’t really have to get out of second gear for most of the game."

Parrish’s satisfaction with Sunday’s victory was diluted by his side’s 7-6 league defeat at Streatham Redskins 24 hours earlier.

Parrish said: "It looked like we were dead and buried after the second period but we showed a lot of character in the final period and it’s just a shame we don’t show that character for 50 or 60 minutes.

"If we did we would be a good team and it’s just inconsistency that’s holding us back."

Parrish hopes to have a full squad available for this weekend’s away double header. After the trip to Peterborough the Mos will be on the road again on Sunday for a league game at the Romford Raiders.
