Invicta Dynamos aim for fourth scalp against Redskins

Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish is certain his side will not allow their concentration to slip when they welcome Streatham to the Ice Bowl on Sunday.

The Mos have already beaten the Redskins 13-2 at home and 8-2 and 8-0 away this season and face a top-of-the-table trip to Chelmsford Chieftains a week later, so they could be forgiven for taking their eyes off the game in hand.

However, Parrish (pictured) said: "I want us to play against Streatham as if we are playing Chelmsford. I have told the players to go out there and give 100 per cent.

"If you start pulling out of checks and 50/50 pucks because you are worried about being all right for next week, then you shouldn’t be playing. I don’t mind if we go out there and win 2-0 or 15-0 as long as we give it everything."

Parrish says he will, however, use the game to experiment with formations ahead of the Chelmsford trip.

He said: "The Chelmsford coach has been to watch us so we’ll be doing a bit of experimenting, trying out a couple of different lines to give us some different options that they won’t have seen."

Dynamos are three points clear of the Chieftains at the top of English National Ice Hockey League Division 1 South, after the Essex side lost 5-4 at Cardiff Devils on Saturday.

Nolan Boike scored four and man-of-the-match Joe Johnston, Nicky Lewis and Andy Smith added two apiece as Mos ran out 14-0 winners against bottom side Peterborough Islanders on Saturday.

Loyde Fuller and Ryan Giles each scored their first goals for the club while Pater Vaisanen and Elliot Andrews also netted.

The following day’s game at Haringey was called off by the home side with Dynamos awarded a 5-0 win.
