Inquest to be held into death of Mark Scott who died at HMP Rochester

A full inquest into the death of a man who died in custody is to be held.

Mark Scott died at HMP Rochester, Fort Road, on March 17 2018.

At a pre-inquest review held on Thursday, May 2, coroner Patricia Harding called for a full inquest to be heard in front of a jury.

The 49-year-old's death was described as "unnatural" and due to both prescription and psychoactive substances.

The full inquest, due to be heard in July, will hear from prison workers and medical professionals.
