Heather Jupp attempting to hula hoop for 12 hours at Rochester Castle to raise money for Silverlining charity trip to Namibia

A woman from Rochester will attempt to hula hoop for 12 hours to raise money for a charity trip to Namibia.

Heather Jupp, 30, needs to raise £2,200 for the visit organised by the Silverlining charity which supports people with brain injuries.

She will accompany a group of injury survivors who are travelling to Namibia to renovate a school and teach classes.

Heather said: “I got involved with the Silverlining through my work. I run a supported living service for people with brain injuries.

“Helen Whitcher, who is doing the hoopathon with me, is my teacher and has pretty much taught me all my hoop skills.”

Heather and Helen will hula hoop at Rochester Castle Gardens, tomorrow, Saturday, from 8am.
