Help needed to solve 20-year old crime

A mother and daughter from Medway may hold vital clues to a 20-year old crime.

The two used to live in the Knight Avenue, area of Gillingham and may be able to help Devon and Cornwall detectives investigating an serious assault

They are Laura Harvey, who was eight-years-old at the time of the incident and her mother, only known as Mrs Harvey.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall police, said: "Officers are urgently seeking these two people to help with an investigation into a serious injury.

"They are Laura Harvey, and her mother, they were living in Knight Avenue, Gillingham, around 1989 and 1990.

"We believe they may have moved away from that area.

"We would like to stress that neither are suspects for any crime in anyway, they are urgently needed as witnesses in the course of a major investigation, any help is greatly appreciated."
