Help for Heroes concert

A former serviceman with the Royal Engineers is still selling tickets for an entertainment evening on Friday night (July 24) to help raise money for injured servicemen and women.

Steve Craddock, who served for 15 years in Germany, Kenya, Denmark and on six tours in Northern Ireland, has raised more than £50,000 for Help For Heroes in only 15 months.

Swing singer Shane Hampsheir will entertain the crowds along with more music, magic and comedy also planned at The Brook Theatre in Chatham.

Mr Craddock, pictured preparing for an earlier fund-raiser, said: "All proceeds will go directly to the charity to carry on the important work of caring for our war wounded. "We have a great evening planned with music,magic and comedy."We desperately need your support, to date ticket sales have not been brilliant, so if you are free on Friday please come along and have a great evening as well as showing your continued support for this magnificent charity."

Help For Heroes is a charity which cares for servicemen and women injured in war.

Tickets, priced at £12 each, will be available on the door or through the Box Office on 01634 338 338. Concessions are also available.
