A teenager was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital after a karting accident at Buckmore Park.

Emergency services were called to the circuit in Chatham at about 8pm on Thursday following reports that a 17-year-old girl had fallen out of a go-kart. The girl was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with an injury to her hip.

A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.”
